Brainspotting Therapy

“Where you look effects how you feel”

–David Grand

Just Imagine

A veteran who had avoided all crowded and tight spaces takes his children to Disneyland and finally books that trip to Europe that he has always wanted.

A woman with prior disabling chronic pain and fatigue is now training for a marathon run.

A burnt-out business executive, working in a toxic work environment, decides to start her own company.

A man once defeated by negative thoughts about himself and others due to childhood trauma, now recognizes his worth and gains new, healthy relationships.

Let’s take this a step further.   Imagine this…..

You-a calm, happy you:

Gaining self-worth and realizing you are lovable just you are…

Facing any emotion that comes up…

Having deeper relationships with people who are capable of loving you… and having the capacity to love them back…

No longer living with anxiety, perfectionism, fear, or over-reactivity….

No more excessive concerns about what others think of you….

No longer stuck, physically sick….

You think, “This is too good to be true. How in the world would these changes occur?”

Brainspotting Therapy
Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing, and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation, and a variety of other challenging symptoms. Brainspotting is a simultaneous form of diagnosis and treatment, enhanced with Bilateral sound, which is deep, direct, and powerful yet focused and containing.

It works like this:

You come to our session, suffering from excessive shyness and performance anxiety, to build confidence. I ask you to think of a recent experience in which you felt these issues negative affected you. You tell me that, last night you had to cancel plans with a friend because you were too anxious. I ask you to bring back up the experience now. Then I ask, “on a scale between 0-10, how activating does this memory feel now and where do you feel it in your body most?” I then help you to find the spot in your visual field where you feel the strongest emotion or body sensation when thinking about this memory. I then have you hold your gaze on this point, while you listen with headphones to gentle music with alternating tones from ear to ear. My presence will support you while you simply, “Notice and see what happens”. It will be up to you whether to share your experience. Many clients prefer to process in complete silence, which is perfectly ok.

Over a series of sessions, you can expect your nervous system to calm and negative beliefs about yourself to be replaced with positive beliefs and new confidence.

Change that lasts

Brainspotting produces astonishing results. In the history of my career, I have never seen any other therapeutic technique that has been as effective as Brainspotting.

I have also been on the receiving end of Brainspotting, as a client, as well. The transformation I experienced was nothing short of a miracle.

Expansion Brainspotting

In addition to healing trauma, Brainspotting can also be used, even exclusively, to enhance or “expand” a person’s potential.
It has been used extensively to enhance creativity, sports performance, spirituality, and business performance.
